Pollinating Democracy, One Costume at a Time
What a week it was! Last Friday, we wrapped up an incredible session of farm camp with a parade experience none of us will soon forget. Our campers stepped into the spotlight at Warren's 75th annual Fourth of July Parade, bringing their creativity and our Living Tree spirit to this beloved community tradition.
This year's parade theme was "Stand Up for Democracy," and our kids rose to the occasion in the most delightful way possible. Channeling their week of farm adventures into colorful costumes, they transformed into veggies, fruits, flowers, and buzzing bees—marching proudly to "pollinate democracy" right down Warren's Main Street.
The joy was contagious as camp kids, their parents, and Living Tree staff and cohousing residents came together in this celebration of community spirit and the connections between thriving ecosystems and vibrant democracy. The smiles say it all!
