Farm Work-Trade Program
Live, work, and learn in community!
Join us for a one- to four-month work-trade experience, contributing around 10 hours weekly in exchange for tent camping on our land with access to basic amenities. Longer apprenticeship opportunities also available.
What You'll Do
Farm tasks: planting, harvesting, soil care, orchard maintenance
Animal husbandry with sheep and chickens
Permaculture and wild edibles projects
Support for community events and building projects
Accommodations
Private wooded tent platform
Outdoor kitchen access with basic staples
Composting toilets, outdoor shower, laundry facilities
Garden harvest privileges (a range of veggies & berries, dependent on season)
Invitation to regular community dinners and gatherings
Location
Located in rural Vermont, a half-mile from town center, six miles from Waitsfield, and 20 minutes from Montpelier. A car is recommended for getting around, although biking is possible.

Self-motivated and safety-conscious
Comfortable with physical labor
Positive communication skills
Appreciation for multigenerational community life and respect for our community’s Jewish practices
