Farm Work-Trade Program

Live, work, and learn in community!

Join us for a one- to four-month work-trade experience, contributing around 10 hours weekly in exchange for tent camping on our land with access to basic amenities. Longer apprenticeship opportunities also available.

What You'll Do

  • Farm tasks: planting, harvesting, soil care, orchard maintenance

  • Animal husbandry with sheep and chickens

  • Permaculture and wild edibles projects

  • Support for community events and building projects

Accommodations

  • Private wooded tent platform

  • Outdoor kitchen access with basic staples

  • Composting toilets, outdoor shower, laundry facilities

  • Garden harvest privileges (a range of veggies & berries, dependent on season)

  • Invitation to regular community dinners and gatherings

Location

Located in rural Vermont, a half-mile from town center, six miles from Waitsfield, and 20 minutes from Montpelier. A car is recommended for getting around, although biking is possible.

What we’re looking for:

  • Self-motivated and safety-conscious

  • Comfortable with physical labor

  • Positive communication skills

  • Appreciation for multigenerational community life and respect for our community’s Jewish practices
