Early-Release Day Farm Club

  • Living Tree Alliance 96 Living Tree Lane Moretown, VT 05660 (map)

Experience the magic of Living Tree’s farm camp during the school year at our Early-Release Day Farm Club! On early release days, youth in grades 1–6 come together to explore our farm campus, where we raise vegetables, fruit, sheep, and chickens. Our campus is surrounded by forest and river trails, and features an adventure playground with treehouses, swings, climbing structures, a gaga pit, and a tree net strung in the forest canopy.

Our programs change with the seasons, and each session's activities are wrapped around the seasonal work and play of the farm. We start with free play, then rotate through hands-on stations (planting, cooking, crafting, or exploring the farm's bounty) before heading out on the land for a river walk, a hike, or snow play.

This fall, we'll cook with the harvest, and in December we'll grind flour and bake holiday cookies. In the winter, we'll keep warm in the sugarhouse, tasting sap from the trees, and in the spring, we'll harvest asparagus and the first sweet spring parsnips, finding ways to enjoy the harvest and steward the land with song and play.
