Spring is stirring, and we're gathering in the Living Tree sugar bush to celebrate! Join us for an afternoon that honors the spring equinox, the flowing maple sap of Vermont, and Nissan, the month of new beginnings in the Jewish calendar.
We'll have lots to do at this all-are-welcome celebration:
Taste the season: Watch the Crowley family's traditional maple sugar operation in action and sample fresh sap and syrup straight from the source
Crafts & creativity: Enjoy wreath making and festive face painting
Community theater: Be part of our "everyone plays a part" pageant—a whimsical production featuring singers, drummers, little sprouts, and "ICE melters"
Fireside treats: Warm up with fresh bread & syrup and enjoy the sweetness of community around an open fire
Hibernation season is over—let's welcome spring and new beginnings together!
Practical details: The sugar house is located behind the field, a 10–15 minute walk from the parking area. Please arrive with enough time to enjoy the stroll down. We highly recommend wearing muck boots and waterproof gear, as mud is a very likely guest!
Sponsored by Jewish Communities of Vermont, PJ Library in VT, and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
